Three of Dakota Johnson’s top films

Dakota Johnson has been in quite a few great movies throughout her career so far. Three of the most well-known ones that she has appeared in are The Social Network, 21 Jump Street and The Five-Year Engagement. Here is a little bit about each of these movies and the roles that she played in them.

The Social Network: This was the first really successful film that Dakota appeared in. Focusing on the rise of Facebook, this film portrays the story of Mark Zuckerberg and how he became involved in the development of the site. Dakota Johnson plays Amelia Ritter, a girl who has a scene with Justin Timberlake. He is such a household name, with many people all over the world listening to his music as they play some binguez or go for a run, that it stands to reason the film did so well. It was a hit at the box office and was nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Cinematography, Best Film Editing, and Best Sound Mixing and won three Oscars for Best Film Editing, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Original Score.

21 Jump Street: Starring Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill, this film is packed with laughs and adventure and centers around two undercover cops who have to infiltrate a high school. Dakota plays the character of Fugazy, another undercover cop who also goes into a high school like the two main characters. Fugazy is a competitive girl, who adds an extra element of interest to the film.

The Five-Year Engagement: This film stars Emily Blunt and Jason Segel as a couple who gets engaged. However, it is not all smooth sailing for them as work, family and other issues get in the way. Dakota plays Audrey, a hostess at a restaurant, who Jason Segel’s character ends up dating for a time. This is a funny film with some surprisingly heart-warming moments and it is nice to see that Dakota continues to land interesting roles.
